Kindergarten Fee Assistance Scheme (KiFAS)


What is it?

  • KiFAS is provided to support kindergarten education for low- and middle-income families.
  • The amount given will depend on your household income, with lower-income families receiving more. Parents may be eligible for KiFAS for up to 99% of the monthly kindergarten fees, or up to $170 (inclusive of GST).


Am I eligible?

  • Your child is a Singapore citizen.
  • Your gross monthly household income is $6,000 and below.
  • Your child is enrolled in kindergartens operated by Anchor Operators or the Ministry of Education.


How do I apply?

  • Apply through your child’s kindergarten.


What documents are needed?

  • NRICs of parent(s)
  • Child’s birth certificate or certificate of citizenship
  • Statutory declaration of gross monthly income for parents who are self-employed/payslips
  • Registry of Marriage record (for single parents)
  • Income documents
    • Salaried employees without CPF contributions: latest payslip, employer’s income certification letter and appointment letter indicating gross monthly income within 4 months of date of KiFAS application
    • Self-employed applicants: latest notice of assessment, statement from clients/customers stating nature of work, number of hours of work and monthly income form work
    • Unemployed applicants: Student card, letter of course acceptance from educational institution indicating course duration, proof of employment search or assistance from CDC, letter from employer on last day of service dated within 4 months of date of KiFAS application, or retrenchment letter dated within 4 months of date of KiFAS application.
