Am I eligible?

  • Your child is a Singapore citizen.
    • If your child is not a Singapore citizen at birth, he/she has to obtain citizenship within 12 months of birth. The leave benefits will be given once your child obtains citizenship.
    • If your child is not a Singapore citizen, you are still entitled to 12 weeks of maternity leave if you are covered by the Employment Act. The first 8 weeks will be paid, but the last 4 weeks will be unpaid.
  • Your child was born on or after 1 January 2017.
  • You have worked for at least 3 months immediately prior to child’s birth.
